Orchard Park, NY (My Sportsbook) - Ryan Fitzpatrick will again start at quarterback for the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday against Houston as Trent Edwards continues his recovery from a concussion. Bills head coach Dick Jauron made the announcement Monday, saying Edwards has not yet been cleared to play by team doctors. "Trent is following right along with the protocol for a head injury, but he will not play this week," said Jauron on Monday. Edwards was hurt during the second quarter of the October 18 game against the New York Jets and did not practice last week. Fitzpatrick got the starting nod against Carolina and helped the Bills to a 20-9 victory. Sitting Edwards against the Texans will give him an extra two weeks to recover, as the Bills have a bye following this coming Sunday's game. Fitzpatrick completed just 11-of-22 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown and was not intercepted in the victory against the Panthers. He also helped Buffalo to an overtime win against the Jets after taking over the for the injured Edwards. |
