San Antonio, TX (My Sportsbook) - Phil Blackmar fired a seven-under 64 Sunday to come from behind and win the AT&T Championship by a single stroke after Jay Haas bogeyed the final hole.

Blackmar got into the clubhouse at 10-under-par 203, then had to wait for the final three groups to finish.

Andy Bean, playing alongside Haas, could have forced a playoff with a closing birdie, but he parred the last to shoot 70.

Haas was tied for the lead with Blackmar with one hole to play but stumbled to a closing bogey to wrap up a round of two-under 69. That gave Blackmar his first Champions Tour title.

"I got very nervous, but I was able to hang in there," said Blackmar, who has mostly been doing television commentary in recent years. "This year hasn't been very much fun, so I was comfortable with getting back into broadcasting, or something else."

Haas and Bean were joined in second place at minus-nine by Tom Kite, who closed with a three-under 68.

Russ Cochran, who shared the second-round lead with Bean, stumbled down the stretch to close with a three-over 74 and share 10th place at five-under-par 208 at Oak Hills Country Club.

Blackmar birdied the first, then soared up the leaderboard with four straight birdies from the third to jump to eight-under.

After that stellar run, Blackmar parred eight consecutive holes and fell two behind the leaders. He birdied the 15th to get to nine-under and a share of the lead as Haas bogeyed the 13th.

Blackmar made it two in a row with a birdie on the par-four 16th. That gave him the lead at 10-under. He parred out, then watched Haas hand him the title.

Haas traded a bogey for a birdie from the first. Birdies on the fifth, ninth and 10th gave Haas a share of the lead at 10-under. He stumbled to a bogey on 13, but rebounded to birdie the 15th to re-gain a share of the lead.

At the last, Haas missed the green at the par-three and left his chip in a bunker. He nearly holed the par-saving bunker shot but settled for a closing bogey and a share of second.

"You see this ball sitting there and there's no way it's not in," stated Haas. "You see very few balls like that that don't fall in."

Bean posted birdies on the sixth and eighth to briefly take the lead at 10- under. He faltered to a bogey on the 11th, then parred his final seven holes to end at minus-nine. He could have forced a playoff by chipping in for birdie at the last but was unable to do so.

Kite birdied two and seven. After tripping to a bogey on the 13th, he rallied with birdies on 15 and 17 and needed one more birdie at the last to force a playoff. He missed a birdie try from inside 10 feet to end one back.

John Cook, who won this title the last two years, closed with a five-under 66 to take fifth at eight-under-par 205. Hale Irwin carded a three-under 68 Sunday to end alone in sixth at minus-seven.

Bernhard Langer (69), Scott Simpson (70) and Keith Fergus (67) shared seventh place at six-under-par 207.
