Aberdeen, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - First-half goals from Damian Casalinuovo and Morgaro Gomis allowed Dundee United to claim a 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium on Saturday. Casalinuovo opened the scoring after 31 minutes and Gomis added another five minutes later for United, which sits in fourth place, three points back of leaders Rangers. Aberdeen has now won just once in its last seven games and slips to seventh with the loss. The Dons could have taken the lead inside of one minute when Fraser Fyvie had only goalkeeper Nicky Weaver to beat, but fired wide, while Danny Cadamarteri was denied by the post in the ninth minute for the visitors. Cadamarteri then forced a good save from goalkeeper Jamie Langfield, but the ensuing corner kick provided the opener as Garry Kenneth flicked a header into the path of Casalinuovo to turn home. Gomis then doubled the lead five minutes later when he pounced on a loose ball near the top of the box and drove a well-placed shot inside the bottom corner of the net. The second half saw Aberdeen continue to struggle in front of goal, with Darren Mackie giving the hosts their best chance, only to be denied by Weaver. Rangers remained unbeaten in league play but they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by third-placed Hibernian. Kris Boyd put Gers in front after eight minutes but had his opener canceled out in the 63rd by Anthony Stokes. Kilmarnock claimed a 2-1 win over St Johnstone as Kevin Kyle tallied both goals for Killie, Hearts and Falkirk finished 0-0 and Lucas Jutkiewicz scored twice in the last 15 minutes to help Motherwell earn a 3-3 draw with St Mirren.
