Stockholm, Sweden (My Sportsbook) - Top-seeded Swedish favorite Robin Soderling was among Friday's quarterfinal winners at the Stockholm Open. The world No. 10 French Open runner-up Soderling handled Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 on the indoor courts at Royal Tennis Hall. Soderling was last year's Stockholm runner-up to Argentine star David Nalbandian and also reached the final here back in 2003. Soderling, who titled in Bastad here in Sweden earlier this season, will encounter Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis in Saturday's semifinals. The former Aussie Open runner-up Baghdatis handled French qualifier Arnaud Clement 6-4, 6-4. In Friday's other quarterfinals, Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci took out 6-foot-6 Swedish wild card Joachim Johansson 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 and Belgian Olivier Rochus battled past Finland's Jarkko Nieminen 6-3, 2-6, 6-1. Bellucci and Rochus will square off in Saturday's other semi.
