Moscow, Russia (My Sportsbook) - Muscovite Mikhail Youzhny highlighted Friday's quarterfinal winners at the $1.08 million Kremlin Cup tennis event. The third-seeded Youzhny handled Ukrainian qualifier Sergiy Stakhovsky 6-3, 6-3 on the indoor hardcourts at Olympic Stadium. A Day-5 upset came when qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin of Uzbekistan came back to bounce fifth-seeded Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, while sixth-seeded Serbian Janko Tipsarevic avoided an upset by leveling American Robby Ginepri 6-3, 6-3. One other quarterfinal saw Ukrainian qualifier Illya Marchenko overcome Russian Evgeny Korolev 0-6, 6-2, 6-3. Marchenko is making his ATP debut this week. Saturday's semifinals will pit Youzhny against Kukushkin and Tipsarevic versus the upstart Marchenko. The 2009 Moscow champ will collect $170,000.
