Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Aleksandr Ryazantsev scored two minutes into the match and Karadeniz Gokdeniz added the winner in the 73rd, as Russian club Rubin shocked Barcelona, 2-1, on Tuesday at the Camp Nou in the Champions League.
Barcelona, which won the event last season, wasn't the only European power to fall Tuesday, as Lyon scored in the 90th to stun Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on a day where only Greece's Olympiacos won at home, 2-1 over Standard Liege thanks to a 90th-minute winner.
England's Arsenal settled for a 1-1 draw at AZ after the Dutch club scored in the 90th, and Inter Milan managed just a 2-2 tie in Italy against Dynamo Kyiv. Sevilla cruised to a 3-1 win at Stuttgart, Unirea rolled over Rangers 4-1 and Fiorentina edged Debrecen 4-3.
Ryazantsev put Barca into an early deficit when he unleashed a blast from well outside the box that swerved into the upper-right corner less than two minutes into the match.
Barcelona struggled to find the equalizer but when Zlatan Ibrahimovic chested down a long pass and slotted past Rubin goalkeeper Sergei Ryzhikov to the far post early in the second half, it seemed like the Spanish giants would finish off their visitors.
Rubin wouldn't go away, though, and Gokdeniz was freed behind a pair of Barca defenders in the 73rd and calmly slotted past Victor Valdes to the left post.
Barca dominated possession and unleashed 24 shots to just three for Rubin, but the Russians converted two of their three attempts. Barcelona remains first in Group F, but Dynamo Kyiv and Rubin also have four points. Inter is one back in last with three points from three draws.
Walter Samuel scored in the second half to help Inter Milan battle back from a first-half own goal in its draw against Kyiv.
Lyon took control of Group E with the stunning win at Liverpool, which has now lost four straight matches in all competitions and plays Manchester United in England this weekend.
Yossi Benayoun put Liverpool into the lead in the 41st but with captain Steven Gerrard taken off midway through the first half and Fernando Torres sidelined, Lyon rallied after the break.
Maxime Gonalons scored in the 72nd, and Cesar Delgado capped a quick build up with the game-winner with just seconds left in normal time.
Lyon leads the group with three wins in as many matches, and Fiorentina moved into second with the victory at Debrecen. Adrian Mutu scored two goals for Fiorentina in a match featuring six goals before halftime.
Cesc Fabregas fired Arsenal into the lead in the 36th at AZ but the Dutch side escaped with a point when David Mendes Da Silva scored in the 90th. Arsenal is still atop Group H with seven points, followed by Olympiacos.
Ieroklis Stoltidis scored in the game-winner for the Greek side in the 90th.
Sebastien Squillaci scored twice as Sevilla took control of Group G with its third win in as many matches, while Unirea used a pair of own goals to hammer Rangers at Ibrox.
