Stockholm, Sweden (My Sportsbook) - Fifth-seeded German Andreas Beck came up a first-round loser Tuesday at the Stockholm Open. French qualifier and former top-10 performer Arnaud Clement cut down Beck in 6-4, 6-2 fashion on the indoor courts at Royal Tennis Hall. This marked Clement's first ATP-level victory since May. Meanwhile, Belgian Olivier Rochus drove out wild card and Swedish favorite Andreas Vinciguerra 6-3, 6-2 and Finn Jarkko Nieminen leveled Bulgarian wild card Grigor Dimitrov 6-0, 6-2 on Day 2. Other opening-round winners were Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci, Italian Andreas Seppi, American Robert Kendrick and German qualifier Michael Berrer. Kendrick erased Spaniard Oscar Hernandez 6-3, 6-4. Argentine David Nalbandian, who is not defending his title this year, bested Sweden's own Robin Soderling in last year's Stockholm finale. The 2008 French Open runner-up Soderling, who also reached the final here in 2003, is this week's top seed.
