Stockholm, Sweden (My Sportsbook) - Former tennis great Mats Wilander has stepped down as the captain of the Swedish Davis Cup team. The former world No. 1 seven-time Grand Slam singles champion Wilander, along with assistant coach Joakim Nystrom, led the Swedes to the Davis Cup semifinals two years ago. The Swedes were stunned by visiting Israel in the opening round this year. The 45-year-old Wilander was one of the top players in the 1980s, reaching 11 major finals over a seven-year span.
