Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Germany international Philipp Lahm has intimated that his long-term future is with Bayern Munich after revealing that he hopes to eventually win the Champions League with the club. The 25-year-old defender, who has taken the captain's armband at the Allianz Arena while Mark van Bommel is injured, has featured in almost 150 games for Bayern since making his first-team debut nearly four years ago. Lahm said: "My first goal was to become a professional footballer. I've achieved that and now I'd like to win the Champions League and a big tournament with Germany. "We try to get closer to the Final each year with Bayern. Last season we got knocked out in the quarter-finals and the distance between us and the top four was evident. "We hope the gap will have narrowed this season and, in the coming two, three years, we want to challenge for the title again. "Being Bayern captain feels good and I think it's logical a player from Munich should lead FC Bayern on to the pitch.
