East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Trent Edwards exited Sunday's 16-13 overtime win against the New York Jets early in the second quarter after taking a blow to the head that resulted in a concussion. Facing a 3rd-and-2 at the Buffalo 43, Edwards dropped back and was sacked by Calvin Pace and David Harris. Edwards' body twisted in a weird way as he went to the ground. Edwards remained on the ground for a few minutes before being helped to the locker room by the training staff. Edwards seemed to be woozy as he slowly walked to the locker room. Ryan Fitzpatrick took over the QB duties for the Bills. Edwards completed 5- of-5 passes for 43 yards before getting injured. Fitzpatrick ended 10-of-25 for 116 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Edwards was not the only Buffalo player to suffer injury during Sunday's win as defensive tackle Kyle Williams (shoulder), safety Donte Whitner (ankle) and tight end Shawn Nelson (concussion) each were forced from the game and did not return. Bills head coach Dick Jauron indicated Edwards and the others would be re- evaluated on Monday.
