Wigan, England (My Sportsbook) - Manchester City remained in fifth place in the Premiership standings on Sunday after their 1-1 draw with Wigan at the DW Stadium. Wigan took the lead right before halftime with a goal from Charles N'Zogbia, but City equalized right after the break through Martin Petrov. The visitors then played the final 25 minutes of the match with 10 men after Pablo Zabaleta picked up a second yellow card, and they needed a big save from goalkeeper Shay Given in the final minutes to keep hold of their point. City controlled the majority of the possession in the first half, but did little with it, and they went into the break down a goal as Hugo Rodallega's shot was saved by Given, but N'Zogbia beat defender Wayne Bridge to the rebound and fired it home. It took City less than two minutes to equalize after halftime as Carlos Tevez slid a pass to Shaun Wright-Phillips near the top of the box, and after he got a slight touch on the ball, Petrov drove it into the bottom left corner. Wigan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland needed to react quickly to keep out a header from Gareth Barry at the back post, while one minute later, City went down to 10 men when Zabaleta was booked for a late challenge on Wigan's Jason Scotland, his second yellow card. The home side almost took advantage right away as Mohamed Diame sent a shot whistling past the upper left corner, but the real chance came in the 89th minute when Rodallega's volley from inside the six-yard box was kept out by the leg of Given. Blackburn earned its third win of the season with a 3-2 victory against Burnley as David Dunn, Franco Di Santo and Pascal Chimbonda each scored for Rovers.
