Foxborough, MA (My Sportsbook) - Goalie Matt Reis made four saves and the New England Revolution inched closer to a playoff berth with a 0-0 tie against the Chicago Fire on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

New England moved level with Toronto FC, which beat Real Salt Lake 1-0 earlier Saturday, for the eighth and final playoff berth entering the final weekend of the regular season.

The Revolution (10-10-9), winless in their last four and seven of their last eight, visit the first-place Columbus Crew on Oct. 25 in the regular-season finale. Toronto (10-10-9) visits Red Bull New York on Oct. 24.

Reis posted his seventh shutout of the season in just 22 games. Chicago goalie Jon Busch, who has started every match for the Fire, secured his ninth shutout of the year with seven saves.

Chicago (10-7-12) sits second in the East, and could clinch before the night's over based on the results of other matches.
