Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was limited during Wednesday's practice as he continues to battle an injury to his right knee while wide receiver Calvin Johnson sat with what is being called a thigh injury. Stafford was forced to sit out last Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh because of the injury sustained in a Week 4 defeat against Chicago. He was absent from the practice field last Wednesday and Thursday before taking limited snaps Friday. Daunte Culpepper started in place of Stafford versus the Steelers and went 23- for-37 with 282 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He added 44 yards on the ground on three carries and was sacked seven times. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was noncommittal when addressing who would start Sunday's game against Green Bay. "The decision hasn't been made yet. We've got a long way to go before Sunday. There's definitely ground that needs to be covered between now and then," said Schwartz. "He's (Stafford) improving. He's doing a little bit more each day that we're able to get him out on the field." Johnson was originally thought to have suffered a knee injury this past Sunday but the team labeled it a thigh injury Wednesday. Schwartz described the ailment as not "significant" on Monday. "My code word [has been] 'significant,'" Schwartz said. "I wouldn't label his [injury] significant right now." Johnson limped off the field in the first quarter and was attended to by members of the training staff on the sidelines in the second half. He had just one catch for two yards in the game, and has 22 catches for 325 yards and a score this season.
