San Diego, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Chargers released veteran safety Clinton Hart and re-signed defensive tackle Ian Scott, the club announced on Wednesday. The 32-year-old Hart appeared in four games this season and accumulated 10 solo tackles. In six seasons with the Chargers, the safety had 10 interceptions, with two being returned for touchdowns to go along with 215 solo tackles while starting 36 of 80 games. He was originally signed as a free agent by Philadelphia in 2002. Meanwhile, the Chargers brought Scott back after releasing him following training camp this season. The seven-year vet came to San Diego in September of 2008 and played in four games, but did not register any statistics. The University of Florida product was taken in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by Chicago and has appeared in 53 games, starting 33 and recorded a pair of sacks, one interception and 69 solo tackles.
