San Francisco, CA (My Sportsbook) - San Francisco 49ers safety Michael Lewis suffered an apparent concussion in the third quarter of Sunday's 45-10 loss to Atlanta. Lewis lowered his head to hit Falcons running back Michael Turner, and the safety was the one slow to get up. His neck bent awkwardly on the tackle and was helped off the field by team trainers after an extended period on the ground. It is believed that Lewis also sustained two concussions in the preseason. The eight-year veteran, in his third season with the 49ers, had 19 tackles coming into Sunday's contest and added four stops and a fumble recovery before exiting early.
