Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Yorvit Torrealba belted a two-run homer, while Carlos Gonzalez provided a sparkplug atop the Rockies' lineup with three hits, and Colorado evened its National League Division Series with the Philadelphia Phillies after a 5-4 victory in Game 2 from Citizens Bank Park.

Torrealba, who hit only two home runs in the regular season, went deep for the first time since May 6, and the Rockies will now head back to Denver for two games tied with the defending champion Phillies, 1-1.

Game 3 of this five-game set is scheduled to take place at Coors Field on Saturday at 9:37 p.m. (et).

Dexter Fowler provided three sacrifices in the game, including two sacrifice fly balls, as Colorado snapped a five-game postseason losing streak. The Rockies, prior to losing Game 1, had been swept in the 2007 World Series against Boston.

Aaron Cook (1-0), the franchise leader in wins with 63, earned his first career postseason victory after allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in five-plus innings. Huston Street earned the third career postseason save of his career after throwing a scoreless ninth inning.

"It's a big win today," said Cook. "Whenever you can go back to your home field with the series tied or possibly in the lead, it's always huge. The crowd was really into it today and that is something we're going to have on our side going back home on Saturday."

Raul Ibanez went 2-for-3 with a two-run single, while Jayson Werth hit a solo homer for the Phillies, who had an eight-game home playoff winning streak ended. The defending World Series champion, Philadelphia had not lost a home game in the postseason since losing Game 2 against the Rockies in the 2007 NLDS, when it was swept in three games.

Cole Hamels (0-1), the reigning NLCS and World Series MVP, was not as sharp as he was in the 2008 playoffs, allowing four runs on seven hits in five innings. The southpaw may have had other things on his mind, however, as he left the stadium after being pulled from the game after learning that his wife, Heidi, had gone into labor with the couple's first child.

"It might have," said Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel about whether Hamels' wife going into labor had any effect on him. "I was taking him out of the game cause I wanted to hit for him. We had a guy on and I felt like it was a chance to get back in the game. Frank Coppenbarger (Philadelphia director of team travel and clubhouse services) came into the dugout and told him that his wife was in labor. He was out of the game so he left. It could have bothered him."

Hamels is now 4-2 lifetime in the postseason, with both losses coming to Colorado.

Down, 4-0, heading to the bottom of the sixth, the Phillies scored three runs to climb to within one of Colorado.

Shane Victorino became the first Philadelphia player to advance past first when he hit an infield single and advanced to second on a throwing error by Clint Barmes. Chase Utley followed with a single, and Ryan Howard put the hosts on the board with an RBI double down the right field line.

Cook exited the game after Howard's hit, and Jose Contreras came in to pitch. He struck out Werth for the first out, but Ibanez greeted him with a first- pitch two-run single to center to make it a 4-3 game.

Later, with runners on first and second and one out, Carlos Ruiz grounded into an inning-ending double play.

The Rockies answered with an insurance run in the seventh, and a key member of Philadelphia's bullpen was injured in the process.

With Joe Blanton pitching in relief, Ryan Spilborghs doubled, and Barmes put down a sacrifice bunt. Blanton's throw to third wasn't in time to get Spilborghs, leaving runners on the corners.

Blanton was then replaced by J.A. Happ, who was hit on the leg with a liner by Seth Smith, loading the bases. Happ was unable to continue after limping around, and Scott Eyre came in to get out of the jam.

"It hit me below the left kneecap," said Happ, who has a contusion on his lower left leg and X-rays were negative. "After it happened, I didn't have any strength. Four or five minutes later it would have been all right. It's just tight right now, but I don't think it will be an issue on Saturday. I feel I'll be ready."

Eyre struck out Gonzalez on three pitches, but then Fowler lifted his second sacrifice fly of the game to right, scoring Spilborghs for a two-run lead. Todd Helton popped out to end the threat.

After Matt Belisle pitched a perfect bottom of the seventh for Colorado, the Rockies loaded the bases with one out off Philadelphia's Brett Myers using two walks -- one intentional -- and a hit batsman.

The visitors couldn't capitalize, however, as Myers induced a fielder's choice groundout from Barmes, and Antonio Bastardo struck out pinch-hitter Jason Giambi.

Philadelphia again climbed to within one in the eighth, as Werth blasted a two-out solo home run off Rafael Betancourt to make it a 5-4 game.

The home run prompted the Rockies to put in lefty Franklin Morales to finish the inning, and he induced a groundout from Ibanez.

Street came on to finish the game for Colorado, and he issued a one-out walk to pinch-hitter Matt Stairs. Miguel Cairo was then retired, but Jimmy Rollins followed with a single to move pinch-runner Cliff Lee -- the Game 1 winner -- to second.

Victorino, who went 3-for-5 in the contest, lined out softly to Barmes at second base to end the contest.

Gonzalez singled to begin the game for Colorado, stole second, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a dribbler out in front of the plate by Todd Helton.

In the fourth, Helton snapped an 0-for-16 LDS skid with a single up the middle, and Torrealba made it 3-0 by belting a hanging curveball with two outs into the left field seats.

"I tried to slow myself down a little bit instead of being kind of jumpy," said Torrealba. "The first pitch, he threw me a breaking ball, so I said to myself, he's going to try and get me out without speed. In a 1-1 count, he threw a curveball in that was hanging a little. I was able to stay with it long enough to hit it out of the ballpark."

Cook helped himself in the fifth, as the Rockies pushed across another run. With one out, Colorado's starting pitcher fisted a single just over Howard's head at first, and Gonzalez followed with a double to the gap in right-center -- his third hit of the day. Fowler's sacrifice fly to left plated Cook for a 4-0 lead.
