Portsmouth, England (My Sportsbook) - The arrival of Avram Grant at Portsmouth will not lead to Paul Hart's departure, according to chief executive Peter Storrie. The former Chelsea manager was confirmed as Pompey's new director of football on Wednesday and returns to a club where he worked with Harry Redknapp three years ago. Pompey lost their first seven league games of the season before breaking their duck on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Wolves. Storrie said: "I've been told categorically because I asked the question: "Is Paul's role safe?" And yes, they're absolutely delighted with the job he's done. "I knew it would be the first question Paul would ask me. They want continuity in terms of what's going on at the club. "Where they want to make their main changes is in the board structure. We'll be looking at players in a few key positions. "I don't think we'll go down the route of paying 20million for a player, it will be a very structured way forward. "Avram will help and advise Paul. Effectively we will have two senior people at the helm which is only good for the club. "Paul hasn't got an assistant -manager. Bryan Kidd was here last season and he gave his great experience, and I think obviously Avram will do the same." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
