Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Lions rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford missed practice again on Thursday due to a knee injury. Stafford left Sunday's loss to Chicago in the fourth quarter, when his leg twisted upon being sacked by the Bears' Adewale Ogunleye. Stafford, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, went 24-for-36 with 296 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the contest and was replaced under center by Daunte Culpepper. In four games this season, Stafford has thrown for 894 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions. Stafford's status for this Sunday's tilt versus the Steelers is still unknown. If he can't go, veteran signal-caller Culpepper will be the starter. In other injury news for the team, wide receiver Calvin Johnson (thigh) saw limited participation in practice Thursday after not practicing Wednesday. Also, linebacker Ernie Sims (shoulder) was a limited participant while running back Kevin Smith was a full participant for a second straight day.
