East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning didn't practice Wednesday due to a heel injury. Manning was hurt in the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's game against Kansas City. The former Super Bowl MVP has an injury to the plantar fascia and has soreness and swelling in the heel/arch area on the bottom of his foot. Manning completed 20-of-34 passes for 292 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 27-16 victory over the Chiefs. His last pass was a 54-yard touchdown toss to rookie Hakeem Nicks. Manning's status for this Sunday's game versus the Raiders is still unknown, but the signal-caller said the heel is getting better. "Less pain and moving around a little bit better," Manning said. "Take it day- by-day, see how it reacts and see how it feels. See if I can get out on the practice field and go tomorrow and go from there." Linebacker Michael Boley has already been ruled out for Sunday's game after having knee surgery on Tuesday. He is expected to be sidelined for a month. Tight end Kevin Boss (ankle), running back Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot), defensive tackle Chris Canty (calf), linebacker Bryan Kehl (finger), cornerback Aaron Ross (hamstring) and defensive end Dave Tollefson (illness) also missed Wednesday's practice.
