Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - British Columbia quarterback Buck Pierce, Montreal linebacker Chip Cox, Winnipeg kick returner Jovon Johnson and BC's Paris Jackson were selected as the CFL's top players for the 14th week of the season. Pierce was named the Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 343 yards on 29-of-43 attempt in the Lions' 19-16 victory over Saskatchewan, leading the team into field goal range in the final minute to set up Sean Whyte's game- winning kick. Cox nabbed Defensive Player of the Week honors after totaling nine tackles and a sack in the Alouettes' 27-8 win over Toronto. Cox also returned a fumble 61 yards for a touchdown to seal the top spot in the East division. Johnson grabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week thanks to his 118-yard return for a touchdown on a missed extra point in the Blue Bombers' win over Edmonton. The return was the second longest in team history. Rounding out the weekly winners was Jackson, who earned Canadian Player of the Week accolades for making eight catches for 134 yards and a touchdown in BC's win over the Roughriders. It was his third 100-yard receiving game this year.
