Gainesville, FL (My Sportsbook) - Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has not yet been cleared to play as he continues to recover from a concussion and did not practice Monday as the Gators prepare for an SEC showdown on Saturday at LSU. Florida head coach Urban Meyer said Monday that Tebow looks better and is continuing to work with the team's doctors. He said the star quarterback is able to read and watch television, something doctors prevented him from doing just last week. "His headache has been gone for a couple of days and he looks good," Meyer said. Tebow was hurt during the September 26 game against Kentucky and spent the night in a Lexington hospital The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner was sacked late in the third quarter of Florida's 41-7 win and his head struck the knee of teammate Marcus Gilbert. After remaining on the ground for several minutes, Tebow was helped off the field and taken to the locker room on a cart. Sophomore John Brantley finished the Kentucky game and would likely get the start if Tebow is unable to play Saturday when the Gators put their No. 1 ranking on the line against fourth-ranked LSU. In four games this season, Tebow has completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 643 yards with six touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for five scores.
