Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Pedro Rodriguez's first-half goal was all Barcelona needed to top Almeria 1-0 on Saturday and continue its perfect start in La Liga. Rodriguez, who scored in a 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Tuesday, continued his special week with his first La Liga goal. Rodriguez converted in the 31st minute, receiving a pass from Maxwell with his back to the goal before turning and firing into the top corner to give Almeria goalie Diego Alves no chance. Barcelona won for the sixth time in as many league matches, and overtook idle Real Madrid atop the standings. Barca has scored 17 goals and allowed three in those six league matches. Atletico Madrid finally earned its first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Real Zaragoza. Jose Jurado and Antonio Lopez scored for Atletico, which had two losses and three draws in its first five league games. Ewerthon scored Zaragoza's lone goal on a penalty late in the second half. Also Saturday, Diego Colotto scored in the 61st to lead Deportivo to a 1-0 win over Tenerife for its fourth win in six matches this season. Deportivo climbed to fourth in the standings, while promoted Tenerife is still in the lower half after suffering its fourth loss. On Sunday, Getafe hosts Osasuna, Villarreal hosts Espanyol, Xerez hosts Malaga, Sporting Gijon hosts Mallorca, Valladolid hosts Athletic Bilbao, Racing hosts Valencia and Sevilla hosts Real Madrid.
