Nashville, TN (My Sportsbook) - In just his third career Craftsman Truck Series start, Bobby Hamilton Jr. captured the pole for Saturday's Toyota Tundra 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway. The No.04 Hyde Park Electronics Dodge driver circled the 1.333-mile cement oval in a track record 29.808 seconds (160.990 m.p.h.). The old mark was 157.322 m.p.h. set by Mike Bliss in August 2002. A total on 18 drivers broke Bliss' two-year old record. "We only did race setups except for the last five minutes when we went out on stickers," said Hamilton Jr. The pole victory was the first of Hamilton Jr.'s career. Starting on the front row with the Nashville, TN native will be David Reutimann (29.968) in the No.17 Toyota. Row two will consist of Dennis Setzer (30.058) and Matt Crafton (30.088). Series points leader and father of the pole winner, Bobby Hamilton will start 15th in the 36-truck field. Hamilton's third-place finish last week at IRP gave the veteran a five point lead of Setzer after 14 events (2,103-2,098). The race is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 5 p.m. (et).
