New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom and Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater have been selected as the AFC's top players for the month of September. Manning took the offensive award after helping the Colts to a 3-0 record, which includes road wins over Miami and Arizona. He finished the month completing 66-of-96 passes for 983 yards and seven touchdowns, with two interceptions. Manning also recorded a 117.7 passer rating and surpassed Johnny Unitas for most quarterback wins in franchise history. It is the fourth monthly award in his 12-year career. Odom, who earned the defensive honor, registered a league-high seven sacks in September and added 16 tackles. In the Bengals' Week 2 win at Green Bay, Odom had a career-high five sacks. He needs just two sacks to surpass his career high of eight (2007). Prater won the special teams award after making seven of nine field goal attempts, including all three from 40-plus yards. He also made all five extra- point attempts to help Denver go 3-0.
