Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - Sebastien Bourdais posted the fastest time in provisional qualifying for Sunday's Centrix Financial Grand Prix of Denver Champ Car race. The No.2 Newman/Haas Racing driver's final lap around the tight, nine-turn, 1.647-mile street course was a track record one minute, 00.413 seconds (98.740 m.p.h.). The provisional win guarantees the Frenchman a front row starting position and one championship point. He now owns a 48-point margin over teammate Bruno Junqueira (214-166) who has won both events around the Pepsi Arena parking lot circuit. Mario Dominguez was second quickest (1:00.721), followed by Paul Tracy (1:00.885), Mario Haberfeld (1:01.198). Junqueira (1:01.203) completed the top-five. Final qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (et) with the race set to begin on Sunday at 3 p.m. (et).
