Regina, SK (My Sportsbook) - The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed kicker Luca Congi to a two-year contract extension with an option on Wednesday. Financial details of the signing were not released. Congi, who was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Month earlier in the day, was originally a second-round pick of Saskatchewan in the 2006 draft. In his fourth season with the team, Congi has totaled 585 points. He ranks fifth in the league in total kicking points this season with 100 while converting on 81.5 percent of his field goal attempts (22-of-27). He has suited up in the Riders' last 66 regular-season games, the longest current streak on the team. |
