Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber was held out of the team's 21-7 win over Carolina on Monday night. Barber is dealing with a left quadriceps strain and was limited in practice all week. Head coach Wade Phillips said earlier in the week that Barber would be a game-time decision. In Wednesday's practice, Barber appeared to be running without much of a problem and took part in some passing drills. Barber said the injury, which he suffered late in the fourth quarter in last week's game against the Giants, felt like a cramp and left his leg sore. An MRI exam revealed the strain. The backfield duo of Felix Jones and Tashard Choice stepped up in Barber's absence. Jones gained 94 yards on eight carries before leaving with a knee injury, while Choice had 118 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown for the Cowboys.
