Carson, CA (My Sportsbook) - The New York Red Bulls and Chivas USA battled to a 1-1 draw in Major league Soccer action on Saturday night. Juan Pablo Angel and Sacha Kljestan scored second half goals for their respective teams for all the offense in the game. Kljestan opened the scoring in the 64th minute after an uneventful first hour by both teams to give Chivas USA a 1-0 advantage. After taking a pass from Maykel Galindo in the offensive third, Kljestan took a touch and unleashed a long-range bomb past New York goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul for his fourth goal of the season. That was how the game looked like it would end until the 84th minute when Sinisa Ubiparipovic found Angel in the Chivas USA area with a cross. The Colombian veteran snapped a perfect header from eight yards out past Zach TYhorton to tie the game at one. The Goats (11-9-5) had a chance to pick up the full points when they earned a penalty kick in second-half stoppage time after an Andrew Boyens handball in the area, but he pushed the chance wide left. Chivas USA will aim for a win when it plays at D.C. United next Saturday, while New York (4-17-6) plays at San Jose later the same night in its next MLS fixture.
