Hamilton, ON (My Sportsbook) - Avon Cobourne accounted for 239 total yards of offense and two touchdowns, leading the Montreal Alouettes in a 42-8 rout of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Cobourne ran for a career-high 193 yards on 23 carries and added 46 yards on five receptions for Montreal (10-2), which has won three in a row and owns the best record in the CFL.

Anthony Calvillo completed 25-of-36 passes for 286 yards and two scores, while Kerry Watkins grabbed seven balls for 80 yards and a touchdown. The Als forced four turnovers and produced six sacks on defense while holding the Tiger-Cats to just 97 yards of total offense.

Quinton Porter started at quarterback in the first half for Hamilton (6-6) but went 4-for-6 passing for only 28 yards with an interception. Kevin Glenn didn't fare much better in the second half, completing 7-of-11 throws for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Marquay McDaniel accounted for the team's only touchdown on three receptions for 47 yards, and the team managed only 34 yards on the ground in the game. Hamilton has now lost 11 of its last 12 games against Montreal.

The Als got off to a quick start in the first, jumping out to a 15-0 lead. A single started the game, and Jamel Richardson caught a 12-yard touchdown pass on Montreal's next possession to make it 8-0. Adrian McPherson's one-yard run increased the lead.

Damon Duval added two field goals -- 10- and 25-yards -- in the second quarter for a 21-0 halftime lead.

Hamilton finally got on the scoreboard with a single to start the third, but Calvillo hit Watkins for a five-yard touchdown with 9 1/2 minutes left for a 28-1 lead.

Glenn completed a five-yard scoring pass to McDaniel for Hamilton's only score later in the third, but Cobourne tacked on touchdown runs of 41 and three yards, respectively, in the fourth to cap the blowout.

Game Notes

Montreal's Ben Cahoon made four catches in the game, putting him fourth all- time in CFL history with 921 receptions...Montreal leads the season series, 2-0...Hamilton had a five-game home winning streak snapped.
