Malaga, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola included Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his roster for Saturday's match at Malaga, but his availability won't be determined until before the game.
Ibrahimovic was injured earlier this week in a win over Racing, but the ankle problem wasn't serious enough to keep him from training late in the week.
"He trained well and has improved in every aspect," Guardiola told the club's website. "We will see (Saturday) how he is."
Ibrahimovic, who transferred from Inter Milan in the offseason, has scored in all four La Liga games this season. Lionel Messi leads Barca in league play with five goals, tied with Real's Cristiano Ronaldo for the La Liga lead.
Although Barca and Madrid are both off to perfect starts after four matches, Guardiola thought it was premature to dismiss the rest of the league so early in the season.
"It's a lack of respect, after four games," Guardiola said, "to think that it will only be between Barca and Madrid. I do not believe that.
"If we have won all our games up until now then it is because we are both in form."
Guardiola, whose team beat Racing 4-1 on Tuesday, instead wanted to focus on Malaga.
"They play a bit like Racing, where they signed their coach from," Guardiola said. "Malaga are a physical team that mark tightly and have a clear plan because they have played together as a team for many seasons."
Malaga has just one win in its first four, but Duda is a threat Guardiola does not take likely. "They ... have a great player taking free-kicks and corners (in Duda)," Guardiola said.
Barcelona has another quick turnaround with Dynamo Kyiv visiting the Camp Nou on Tuesday in the Champions League. Barca earned a 0-0 draw at Inter Milan in its group opener, and can't slip up at home this early in the stage.
Real Madrid, which is second on goals scored, will get even stronger this week with Xabi Alonso expected to make his debut against Tenerife on Saturday. The offseason signing from Liverpool missed the first four matches due to injury.
"Xabi has been called up. The Villarreal match would have been too soon, but in the next 24 hours we will decide if he is okay to start or to just come in as a substitute," Real coach Manuel Pellegrini told the club's website.
Real continues Champions League play Wednesday when it hosts Marseille. Also Saturday, Athletic Bilbao hosts Sevilla and Valencia hosts Atletico.
On Sunday, Mallorca hosts Valladolid, Almeria hosts Racing, Osasuna hosts Sporting Gijon, Espanyol hosts Xerez, Real Zaragoza hosts Getafe and Deportivo hosts Villarreal.
