SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson have no interest in making Sunday's game all about them and trying to one-up each other in their respective running games. San Francisco's Gore went untouched all the way to the end zone on long runs not once but twice in a win against Seattle last week, setting a new career-high with the 79-yard run, then later topping that mark with an 80-yarder to help the 49ers to a 2-0 start. Peterson also has his Minnesota Vikings 2-0. Come Sunday, the two will be on the same field for a showdown of sorts to see who can pile up the most yards, game-breaking plays, touchdowns and, most of all, keep his team unbeaten. It's a hot topic for so many reasons, most notably, they're Nos. 1 and 2 in the NFC in rushing and among the top three in the NFL.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
