Leverkusen, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Germany head coach Joachim Low has stated that Bayer Leverkusen's Rene Adler is his first-choice goalkeeper. The 24-year-old impressed in the World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan recently, having stepped in after Robert Enke missed out due to illness. Now Low has given Adler his full backing, ahead of the likes of Schalke's Manuel Neuer and Werder Bremen's Tim Wiese. He told Bild: "Rene Adler is my new first choice between the sticks - assuming nothing serious happens. "He has my absolute confidence after keeping clean sheets against South Africa and Azerbaijan."
