Wolfsburg, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Wolfsburg have decided not to appeal against the sending-off of goalkeeper Diego Benaglio against Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago. The 26-year-old is now set to serve a two-match suspension after the Wolves decided that an appeal had little chance of success. Spokesman Frank Aehlig told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung: "We could have waited for a decision on our appeal, but a report had reached us that Benaglio's ban would not be reduced. "Therefore, we opted to withdraw our appeal to prevent unnecessary expenses." Andre Lenz is likely to step in for Benaglio, having started in the 2-1 victory at Schalke at the weekend.
