Ashburn, VA (My Sportsbook) - In the wake of placing offensive guard Randy Thomas on injured reserve, the Redskins brought back familiar face Anthony Alridge on Tuesday.

Alridge was inked from Houston's practice squad after spending training camp and the preseason with the Redskins, rushing for 46 yards and accumulating 34 receiving yards.

Thomas started at right guard, and his loss will be a devastating one for an offense built on the running game with Clinton Portis and play-action passing from Jason Campbell.

Chad Rinehart was behind Thomas on the depth chart prior the torn triceps injury.
