Flowery Branch, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Falcons rookie defensive tackle Peria Jerry will miss the remainder of the 2009 season after suffering a left knee injury in Sunday's 28-20 win over Carolina. Jerry, the 24th overall selection by Atlanta in the 2009 draft, was injured in the fourth quarter and placed on injured reserve Monday. He had one tackle in two games -- both starts -- this season. The Falcons promoted defensive tackle Vance Walker, a seventh-round pick in 2009, from the practice squad to the active roster. |
