New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The top two spots remain unchanged in the latest NTRA Thoroughbred Poll. Leading three-year-old filly Rachel Alexandra continues in first-place with champion mare Zenyatta in second. Owned by Jess Jackson and Harold McCormick, Rachel Alexandra garnered 15 first-place votes and received 159 total points. Zenyatta, owned by Jerry and Ann Moss, has 138 points with one first-place vote. Also maintaining their spots from last week's poll are Arlington Million winner Gio Ponti. Belmont Stakes and Travers champ Summer Bird, Einstein, Forever Together, Macho Again, Fabulous Strike and Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird. Moving into the tenth spot is Ventura, fresh off her victory in the $1 million Woodbine Mile in Toronto. Trained by Bobby Frankel, Ventura became the first female to win the one-mile turf race after finishing second in 2008. The Woodbine Mile win automatically puts Ventura into the Breeders' Cup Mile this year at Santa Anita. However, she is expected to go for a second straight victory in the $1 million Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
