Quebec City, QC (My Sportsbook) - Hungary's Melinda Czink rallied from a set down to beat Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic for the title at the Bell Challenge.

Czink earned a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory to claim her first WTA Tour singles crown. She was the runner-up to Ana Ivanovic in her lone previous final back in 2005 at Canberra.

"It feels great. I haven't really processed it yet but I will," said Czink. "I went match by match this week. This was the toughest match this week. I had to take some risks on her serve today - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. We really pushed each other, and I'm happy I could come out the winner."

Safarova was trying for her fifth career title and first since 2008 at Forest Hills. She fell to 4-3 all-time in WTA Tour finals.

"We both played a good match," said Safarova. "I think it just came down to a few balls and she did it better. The whole week I was trying to be very aggressive and move forward, but she did the same today and I had trouble dealing with it. I didn't feel I did anything wrong today. It could have gone either way."

This was the first-ever meeting between Czink and Safarova.

Czink collected a first prize of $37,000.
