Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel was active and started Sunday's 13-10 loss to Oakland Cassel made his regular-season debut with the Chiefs after missing a Week 1 setback to the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury. He had been listed as questionable this week and was able to practice. Brodie Croyle got the start last week against the Ravens and threw for 177 yards on 16-of-24 passing with two touchdowns in the 38-24 loss. The inactive quarterbacks for the Chiefs this week were Tyler Thigpen and Matt Gutierrez. Thigpen was listed as the emergency QB. Cassel, who signed a lucrative contract after being acquired in an offseason trade with New England, injured his left knee during Kansas City's third preseason game on August 29 against Seattle.
