Las Vegas, NV (My Sportsbook) - Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez tipped the scales Friday afternoon for their blockbuster 12-round lightweight fight, scheduled for Saturday night. Mayweather (39-0, 25 KOs), a six-time world champion from five different divisions, weighed in at 146 pounds, four more than Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs). The fight will mark Mayweather's return from retirement, as he has not fought since December 2007, when he downed Ricky Hatton by TKO. The matchup is expected to be a spectacular showcase of skills, as the dynamic Mayweather established himself as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Marquez is the current WBA and WBO lightweight champion. He's also held featherweight and super featherweight titles. The fight was postponed two months as a result of a rib injury "Money" Mayweather sustained in training. The two fighters agreed to a 144-pound limit for the bout, but because Mayweather came in two pounds over that he was reportedly docked $600,000 from his cut of pay from the fight.
