Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel, still bothered by a knee injury suffered during the preseason, has been listed as questionable for the team's game Sunday against Oakland. Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said Friday that Cassel will be a game-time decision. "I think that's the safest," Haley said. "If I make a promise now and something doesn't go according to plan or vice versa..." Cassel was also questionable and a game-time decision for Kansas City's season-opener last Sunday against Baltimore, but did not play as Brodie Croyle got the start. But Cassel, who was limited in practice all this week, expressed an improvement in his condition Thursday. "I feel like I'm leaps and bounds ahead of where I was last week at this time," Cassel said. "Any time you have an injury, you're just trying to work hard, you're trying to do whatever it is they have you doing in terms of treatment and everything. I feel like we've made a lot of progress." Cassel, who signed a lucrative contract after being acquired in an offseason trade with New England, injured his left knee during Kansas City's third preseason game on August 29, against Seattle. Additionally for the Chiefs, cornerback Brandon Flowers was listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week.
