Jacksonville, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have released oft-injured defensive end James Wyche and promoted defensive end Jeremy Navarre from the practice squad to the active roster. Wyche, who was inactive for the season-opener against Indianapolis, spent the past two seasons on injured reserve. He missed the 2008 campaign with a knee injury suffered in the preseason and also sat out the 2007 season with a groin injury. The Jaguars selected Wyche with a seventh-round pick in the 2006 draft. The Syracuse product spent most of his first season on the practice squad, then was promoted to the active roster in November and was inactive for seven games. Navarre, a rookie out of Maryland, becomes the third undrafted free agent on the club's 53-man roster. He joins linebacker Russell Allen and defensive end Julius Williams. The Jaguars also signed defensive end Zach Potter to the practice squad.
