San Diego, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Diego Chargers added a fresh body to their depleted offensive line with the signing of nine-year veteran Dennis Norman on Wednesday. The signing was in response to a rash of injuries in Monday's 24-20 win over the Oakland Raiders. Most notably, starting center Nick Hardwick was carted off the field with a left foot injury believed to be a sprained ankle. He was hurt on a pass play when Raiders defensive lineman Trevor Scott fell onto his leg. Hardwick was on crutches and had his foot in a walking boot after the game. Chargers guard Louis Vasquez also suffered an injury to his knee during the third quarter. Norman started 14 games at center last year for the Jacksonville Jaguars and has experience at the guard position as well. The 29-year-old has 15 starts at center, eight at guard and one at the tackle position in 64 career games.
