Foxboro, MA (My Sportsbook) - New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo, the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Award winner, injured his right knee in the first quarter of Monday's season opener against the Bills. Mayo, the 10th overall pick in the 2008 draft, was able to walk to the sideline under his own power after suffering the injury, but quickly exited to the locker room. His return is questionable. Last season, Mayo recorded 98 tackles and started all 16 games for the Pats. |
