Winnipeg, MB (My Sportsbook) - Darian Durant threw for 225 yards and a touchdown and rushed for another score, as the Saskatchewan Roughriders crushed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 55-10.

Durant finished 18-of-36 and was also intercepted once, while Wes Cates rushed for 83 yards and two scores, and added a TD catch for Saskatchewan (6-4), which has won two straight and three of four overall. Luca Congi booted five field goals in the win.

Michael Bishop completed only 9-of-21 passes for 98 yards and was intercepted twice for the Blue Bombers (3-7), who have dropped four of their last five. Fred Reid rushed 11 times for 72 yards and a score in defeat.

Saskatchewan opened the scoring with nearly 5 1/2 minutes left in the first quarter when Durant hit Cates for a 10-yard touchdown. However, Winnipeg tied things on its next possession on a 35-yard run by Reid.

A Jamie Boreham single and a Congi 40-yard field goal put the Roughriders ahead 11-7. Durant's 10-yard TD scamper near the midpoint of the second and another Boreham single made it a 19-7 game.

Cates' four-yard scoring run with nearly 4 1/2 minutes left in the second put Saskatchewan ahead by a 26-7 margin heading into the break.

In the third quarter, Congi connected on field goals from 33 and 40 yards, respectively, and a Jason Armstead to Andy Fantuz 34-yard hookup gave the visitors a commanding 39-7 edge. Congi closed out the scoring in the third quarter with his fourth field goal of the contest, an eight-yard effort.

Alexis Serna nailed a 48-yard field goal for the Blue Bombers in the early stages of the fourth, but Congi answered with a 32-yarder near the middle of the quarter.

Cates added a one-yard scoring run with 6:25 left in the game and Congi nailed a 29-yard effort nearly four minutes later.

Game Notes

Saskatchewan has now taken four in a row and five of the last six meetings with the Bombers, yet it is Winnipeg that owns a commanding 103-71-3 record in regular season games all-time.
