Rogers, AR (My Sportsbook) - Song-Hee Kim posted a three-under 68 on Saturday and moved atop the leaderboard after the second round of the P&G beauty NW Arkansas Championship.
Kim completed 36 holes at nine-under 133 and is two clear at Pinnacle Country Club.
Angela Stanford shot a two-under 69 and is alone in second at minus-seven.
Na Yeon Choi (65), Sun Young Yoo (67) and Yani Tseng (68) are knotted in third place at six-under 136.
Kim fired a six-under 65 in Friday's first round but tripped to a bogey at the par-three third hole on Saturday. That was her last miscue of the second round.
She got back to six-under par for the championship with a birdie at the par- four fifth. Kim, who has seven top 10s in 2009, parred her next four holes to make the turn in even-par 36.
Kim took advantage of mostly the same holes she did in round one. She birdied the par-three 11th for the second round in as many days, then picked up her second birdie in a row at the par-five 14th.
While Kim birdied the par-three 17th in round one, she made only par on Saturday. The birdie at 14 got her sole possession of the lead at eight-under par, but a birdie at the par-five closing hole gave her a two-stroke cushion in her bid for her first LPGA Tour title.
"I am excited to play tomorrow," said Kim. "Today, it was okay. I had a lot of up-and-downs on the front nine, and it was good. On back nine, I started to turn it around. I am just ready for tomorrow."
Stanford also had a very ordinary front nine Saturday. She bogeyed the par- four fifth after an errant drive, then parred her next four and was only four- under for the tournament.
At the 11th, Stanford rolled in a seven-footer for birdie and three holes later hit a seven-iron to the back fringe with her second at the par-five 14th. She two-putted for par and was six-under.
At the last, Stanford missed the green with a seven-wood second shot but chipped close and tapped in for birdie.
"Your opportunities on this golf course are probably on the back," acknowledged Stanford. "So, I just tried to stay patient on the front because I finally got to the point where I thought, you know, I don't think the front's playing as easy as it was yesterday. So I just stayed patient and tried to take advantage of the opportunities on the back."
Na Ri Kim (67), M.J. Hur (68), Hye Jung Choi (69), Jane Park (70) and Pat Hurst (71) are tied for sixth place at five-under 137.
Michelle Wie and Cristie Kerr highlight a group tied for 15th at minus-three.
First-round leader Sandra Gal struggled to a five-over 76 and fell into a tie for 24th at two-under 140.
Defending champion Seon Hwa Lee shot a three-under 68 and finished two rounds in a tie for 49th at even-par 142.
The 36-hole cut fell at two-over 144 and Kim Welch, who had a 67 on Friday, shot a 78 and missed the cut by a stroke.
