Eindhoven, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - PSV Eindhoven moved to the top of the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday with a convincing 3-0 win over Roda at Philips Stadion. Balazs Dzsudzsak scored six minutes into the game and Stanislav Manolev added a second shortly after the restart. Otman Bakkal then tallied a third goal in the final minutes for PSV, which is unbeaten in its first six matches of the season. Ibrahim Afellay played provider for Dzsudzsak's opener with a cross from the right wing that allowed Dzsudzsak to find the net from six yards. Roda had few chances in the opening half and they found themselves behind by two goals in the 51st minute when a cross from Danko Lazovic made its way through the face of goal to the back post for Manolev to poke home. Defender Pa-Modou Kah prevented a third goal for PSV when he cleared Ola Toivonen's effort off the goal line, but Lazovic picked out Bakkal for another close-range finish. AZ Alkmaar suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat at Den Haag as Wesley Verhoek and Lex Immers scored goals for the home side, Morten Nordstrand's second-half goal gave Groningen a 1-0 victory at Heerenveen and Bryan Ruiz scored in stoppage time to give Twente a 3-2 win over Utrecht. |
