San Jose, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Jose Earthquakes acquired defender Bobby Burling from Chivas USA in exchange for a third-round draft pick in the 2010 draft, the Major League Soccer club announced on Friday. "We are excited to add a young player of the caliber of Bobby Burling to our roster," 'Quakes General Manager John Doyle said. "He brings great size and strength to our backline. He is also versatile player who can fill multiple positions at the back and even play up front." Burling joins the Earthquakes after nearly three seasons with Chivas USA. He has appeared in 23 games in his career, starting 19 of those, although he has appeared in just three games so far this season. |
