Flushing Meadows, NY (My Sportsbook) - Unseeded Americans Carly Gullickson and Travis Parrott upset a second-seeded team of Zimbabwe's Cara Black and Indian Leander Paes to capture the mixed doubles title at the U.S. Open. The 22-year-old Gullickson and 29-year-old Parrott pulled off the stunner in 6-2, 6-4 fashion at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Black and Paes were the defending champions, having beaten American Liezel Huber and Scotsman Jamie Murray in last year's finale. Paes was also a mixed doubles runner-up here in 2001 and 2007. The Cincinnati native Gullickson and Portland native Parrott will split $150,000.
