Jacksonville, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars signed a pair of veteran players in safety Brian Russell and guard Kynan Forney on Tuesday. Terms of the signings were not disclosed. Russell had started every game for the Seahawks over the past two seasons, but was deemed expendable and released when the team signed Lawyer Milloy to a one-year deal on Saturday, also the deadline for NFL teams to reach the 53-man roster limit. The 31-year-old has 16 interceptions and 484 tackles in seven seasons spent with the Vikings (2002-04), Browns (2005-06) and Seahawks (2006-07). Forney is a 6-3, 302-pound veteran of eight NFL seasons and was most recently a roster casualty of the San Diego Chargers. He was bidding to win the team's starting right guard spot, but could not beat out rookie Louis Vasquez or stick as a backup. The 31-year-old started 89 games as a member of the Atlanta Falcons from 2001-2007 and was a first alternate for the Prow Bowl in 2005. To make room on the roster, Jacksonville released offensive lineman Dennis Norman.
