London, England (My Sportsbook) - Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes the transfer ban imposed on the Blues could end up being a positive for the club. The Stamford Bridge outfit has been banned from registering any new players until January 2011 after being found guilty of inducing French youngster Gael Kakuta to break his contract with former club Lens in order to join them. The FIFA ban is expected to hamper Chelsea's hopes of winning the Premier League and Champions League in the future, but Lampard believes the siege mentality which is likely to develop could end up helping them. "A lot of things have happened to me in my career with England and Chelsea and whenever it's backs to the wall, for whatever reason that might be, it brings a togetherness and can be used as a positive," said the England midfielder. "You certainly can't let it be used as a negative. It's something that is out of the players' control anyway, so all we can do now is make it a positive."
